Challenge
EMC and Value Added Reseller MTI approached Natural Training to facilitate and coach a team of telemarketers tasked with fixing appointments with board level executives for their field sales team.
Natural Training was asked to lead a live call session and deliver on three requests: identify problematic call areas to be target in future training, motivate the team & raise the levels of activity, and achieve a pre-agreed target of appointments from the day.
Solution
A team was assembled and aggressive targets were set for the day. Solid sessions of live calls and break out coaching sessions with each individual as well as group discussions were all monitored and lead by a Natural Training coach.
Each individual style was worked on and improved and a number of new and innovative skills and techniques were adopted by the team. By practicing the new techniques and being able to integrate them directly into the daily roles, there is no ‘lag’ time between learning and implementing. Each individuals own objectives were noted and achieved through focused coaching and perfecting their calling technique with every call.
Result
From a pre-set target of six appointments from the day, Natural Training delivered and lead the team to 10 appointments set and one sale as a direct result from the specialised coaching on the day.
On the basis of this first successful day EMC retained Natural Training for all induction training to new staff.
