Understanding the value you deliver

The key to developing customer intimacy is understanding the value you deliver. To understand the full extent of your value you must consider where you impact the customers ‘supply chain‘.

A supply chain is the network of people, organisations and systems that are involved in the transformation of raw materials into goods or services that are supplied to the end consumer.

It includes: suppliers, OEMs, advisors, regulatory bodies, distributors, transporters and storage facilities that participate in the production, delivery and sale of a particular product or service.

It’s important to think about how you can add value at each stage of the customer supply chain.

Value selling is one of the subjects that comes up frequently in our sales training. It’s about how to give the customer more for their money – not less. It’s about looking at your product or service and saying “How can we add value to this for our customers?”.
