ICG (Intermediate Capital Group) is a leading global alternative asset manager, specialising in private debt, credit, and equity.

Natural Training has worked with ICG over a number of years, supporting teams across pitching, presentation skills, natural communication skills, management communication and personal coaching.

The work spanned multiple regions, including the UK, France, ASPAC and New York, with programmes delivered across pitching skills, natural communication, presentation impact, offsite facilitation and senior management communication.

The focus was on helping investment professionals communicate with more clarity, influence and confidence in high-value client and stakeholder conversations. This included helping teams pitch more effectively, present complex material with greater impact, engage clients with more confidence, and bring more structure to commercial conversations.

The ICG material references programmes from 2014 onwards, including pitching skills, natural communication skills, presentation skills, coaching for presentation impact, and “Masters of Influence” management communication work across global teams.

The reported outcomes included uplift in commercial client conversations, increased conversions from consultative selling, more client face time through greater confidence and value-led approaches, and stronger portfolio selling, including bringing more people into the deal from other parts of the ICG business.
